Jasper

Bengal Eagle Owl (Bubo bengalensis)

Jasper is 13 years old and was hand-reared by us from 10 days old. He is probably our most confident of birds and likes to give out a bit of cheeky attitude, if he doesn't like you! He is used for pretty much all our activities and is certainly very popular. Bengal Eagle Owls are native to India and Pakistan and are a diurnal owl which means they hunt during the day, rather by night.  Check out the orange colour of Jasper's eyes! Some owls have dark eyes which means they are nocturnal.
